Pasta with Vodka Sauce

A classic American-Italian comfort food~ Pasta with Vodka Sauce! My family and I love this creamy sauce over rigatoni but you can use whatever your favorite pasta shape is!   

*Serves 6 

Ingredients

  • 16oz of pasta
  • 2tbs of butter
  • 28oz of Marinara Sauce
  • 1 cup of vodka
  • 3/4 cup of Heavy Cream, room temperature
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to directions, drain, toss with a little butter, and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile in a large sauce pan bring marinara sauce to a slow boil over medium heat.
  3. Add vodka to the sauce and bring to a steady boil.
  4. Cook for about 20 minutes until vodka is reduced and the alcohol is burned off.
  5. Next add your room temperature heavy cream to the vodka marinara. It is important for the cream to be room temperature so it doesn’t curdle!
  6. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes on med/low heat.
  7. Add grated Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste to the sauce and mix well.
  8. Combine pasta and vodka sauce and top with more grated cheese if you like!
  9. Serve warm but also makes great lunch leftovers the next day. Enjoy!
